5 Things you’re doing wrong on Black Friday
You Won’t Be There on Black Friday.
Sales happen all the time. The year starts with white sales, and then there are many events in the spring and summer. The fall brings its own sales, like Back to School, Labour Day, and more. So, you might be wondering, “Are the deals on Black Friday worth it? Is it true that Black Friday is cheaper?”
The good news is that all the hype about Black Friday is totally justified. Almost anything you can think of goes on sale in some way, with discounts of 50% or more being the best. Even Apple products, which almost never go on sale, are marked down a lot during Black Friday.
Only On Black Friday Do You Shop.
We talk about “Black Friday” as if it were just one day. Even though Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, the shopping season has grown to include much more than just that one day. Most sales start the week before Black Friday and last through the weekend and into the week after. And a lot of people start shopping for Black Friday before then.
Another reason might be that last year, Black Friday went on for almost a whole month. We saw that stores had special sales for the whole month leading up to Black Friday. This made it worth shopping for more than 30 days before Black Friday. Black Friday will be on November 26, 2022, but the COVID-19 pandemic is still going on. This year, many stores seem to be using a strategy similar to the one they used in 2021 to cut down on the number of people shopping in stores.
You Aren’t Making Plans for Black Friday. Enough Early
If you wait until Black Friday sales start before making plans, you’ll be rushed when you’re trying to do your shopping. You might also end up spending more than you want to because you won’t want to miss a deal. Now is a good time to at least start thinking about what you want to do on Black Friday, especially since some stores seem to be putting out their deals earlier than ever.
Spend some time looking into prices. Then you can choose your ideal price and the most you’re willing to pay.
Even though not all of the Black Friday ads are out yet, you should still make a list of what you want to buy on the big day. You have time to do research, like finding out what the lowest prices were for each item. Then you can figure out what your ideal price is and how much you are willing to pay. You can choose which shops you want to go to. Once you have that information, it will be much easier to look through the ads when they come out.
You Think That All Deals on Black Friday Are Good Deals.
Every year around Black Friday, there are thousands of deals, but that doesn’t mean they’re all good. Check the price of any deal before you add it to your cart. If you’ve done the research listed above, you should have a good idea of whether or not the price is a good one. Don’t buy something just because it’s a Black Friday deal; make sure you’re getting the best price before you buy.
You’re Not Looking at The Best Black Friday Deals.
Stores always try to get people in the door on Black Friday with great deals that only last a short time. Usually, these deals are only available on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, but this year, big stores like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy will be closed on Thanksgiving. So what does that mean for blockbuster movies? And are Black Friday deals that start early worth it?
When new Black Friday ads come out, take a few minutes to see if the doorbusters have any restrictions. This year, that could mean, for example, that they can only be found online. You’ll know what deals are worth your time on Black Friday in 2022 once you find out how stores are running their sales.
This year, some stores may once again change their policies. But you should know that these can be limiting. For example, Target’s holiday policy has been changed to include purchases made after October 10. The catch is that it only works if Target’s own price drops on or before December 24.
