Scott Cawthon’s FNAF is an online horror-adventure game in which you must survive five nights in a pizzeria where animated characters come to life. You play as a security guard who must inspect cameras, keep power, close doors, and use a variety of tools to avoid being slain by these monsters should they approach. The sequels to the original game continue the story and introduce new challenges as you progress.
Each game on this list of Five Nights at Freddy’s games will be evaluated on its own merits, rather than ranking them in order of preference. Free FNAF games are entertaining and slightly terrifying to keep you on the edge of your seat. Here are five of our fave FNAF free games that we believe you should play.
FNAF 2 In the sequel to the previous game, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, some new characters join the original cast of animatronics who played at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. These new versions of the characters are designed to appeal to younger audiences, have improved facial recognition technology, and generally hold the promise of being an improvement over their predecessors. You continue to take on the role of the security guard, and during the night shift you are tasked with preventing the animatronics from entering your workplace by using any and all means at your disposal. You have been provided with an empty Freddy Fazbear animatronic head for the purpose of increasing your level of protection and convincing them to leave you alone.
FNAF 3
This is the most recent installment in the series, and it stands out from the rest of the games in the series due to the fact that its difficulty level is the greatest. You are the protagonist in this game, and it is necessary for you to preserve security and defend yourself against Springtrap.
FNAF 4
The more challenges you complete successfully, the more characters you will have access to. The number of playable characters is limited, but you have access to practically all of the game’s animatronics, and the action-adventure gameplay is excellent. If you’re a fan of the series and simply can’t get enough of it, you should check out this entry.
A sequel to the original Five Nights at Freddy’s game.
The action of FNAF 5 takes place at a defunct amusement park. You take on the role of Zoe, a new worker at Fazbear’s Fright, who is tasked with rescuing the day by locating and repairing the dangerous animatronics so that the attraction can reopen for business. Although the game has a new music and new animatronics, it is nearly a direct successor to FNAF 4 and has much of the same mechanics. However, the game does have new animatronics.
