Salma Hayek Opens Up About Feeling Proud to Play One of the Marvel Superheroes in the Movie ‘The Eternals’. Salma even cried while telling it.
The beautiful actress Salma Hayek recently caught the attention of Marvel fans. Which, Salma is believed to star in one of the important characters in the MCU film “The Eternals”.
Together with Angelina Jolie, Salma was asked to play the character of Ajak. Interestingly, Salma has recently been outspoken about her feelings after being asked to play in the film “The Eternals”.
Through an interview with Despierta America, Salma said she was proud and to this day she still can’t believe Marvel Studios asked her to play in one of their epic works. Even Salma admitted that she cried when she first tried out the costumes for the character Ajak in “The Eternals”.
“When I put it on, I cried. Not like in a telenovela, but tears came out and I said, ‘What’s going on here?’ said Salma with tears in her eyes.
While shedding tears, Salma admitted that she was very happy when she saw her figure wearing a superhero suit. He never thought that his career could go this far.
The picture did something for me and I said, ‘Why?’ Salma continued. “I saw my brown face … I saw my brown face in the superhero suit.”
Salma said she was proud that Latin American actresses seemed to be able to achieve a career with Marvel. Which, Salma has been waiting for for a long time.
“And in looking at my face, I see your face. I see my face as a little girl, who must have a lot of courage to dream big,” he explained. “I saw the faces of all the little girls… the door had opened where I didn’t enter alone but inside the suit were all the Latinos who waited so long for this moment.”
Victoria as the head of animation at Marvel Studios also said that her party was very right in choosing Salma for the character of Ajak. According to him, only Salma deserves to play Ajak in “The Eternals”.
“Salma, no one else for me could do this character,” said Victoria, head of animation at Marvel Studios. “When I saw him in that suit was the moment that changed everything in my head, because if it were possible, many other things could have happened.”
